As you probably already know, stress can wreak havoc on your health and happiness. Many a doctor appointment is related, directly or indirectly, to stress. Absenteeism at work can often be tied to stress. Relationships can also suffer from stress.
Soooo….what can you do to help alleviate the stress in your life? Thankfully, there are so many stress relieving techniques out there! This month, we’re going to focus on our four legged friends…
- Pet a cat or dog– studies have shown that spending just 10 minutes petting your furbaby greatly reduces stress levels.
- Go to a petting zoo– the combination of fresh air, sunshine, and farm animals is good for your well-being.
- Volunteer to be a dog walker at an animal shelter– you’ll get some exercise, make a pooch super happy, and of course…lower your stress!
